Day 52 | 100 Days of Self Care

Today’s Self Care Stats:

Accomplished

  • 96% healthy grocery run
  • Coffee with a gal pal
  • Playtime at the dog park
  • Tied up some loose ends business-wise
  • Shoveled a little sand with my boy
  • Early to bed

How I felt

I’m finding busy days make for really hard self-care days. It’s not so much that lack of time (although that’s part of it), it’s that I forget. It takes an effort to remember to practice self-care. Don’t get me wrong, I remember plenty when I’m out of balance. I am quick to acknowledge and to remedy, but it’s a matter of practicing self-care before things get derailed. That’s the challenge.

Take away point

Practicing self-care should be daily… even if only in small ways.

        Oh, I just listen to my body and if it’s suitable I just do it. Anything and everything: Yoga, listening to soothing music, drinking smoothies, doing facemasks, painting, practicing taekwondo, meeting friends, going for walks, walking on the sunny side of the road… It’s everything that you’d be happy doing at that moment. I just tune in to my bodymind and do what I can ✌
