How true this is for ourselves too. When we ignore parts of who we are, it has a tendency to lay dormant or die a little. The beauty is it always has the ability to come back to life, but you have work at it. We are constantly changing, so to shed the old. New life has to push through.

Today’s Self Care Stats:
- AM protein shake and scrambled eggs
- My mile walk has morphed into a walk/run combo (no knee pain yet!)
- Knee: stretches/exercises
- Gratitude awareness
- Journal writing
- Early to bed (I don’t even recognize myself)
How I felt
Fantastic start to the day. Most of these self care accomplishments were completed before 8:30AM. That’s unheard of for me. I’m the type of person who would rather go running at 11PM than to hammer it out before a cup o’joe. What’s even crazier is it doesn’t feel forced. It feels as natural as a flower opening in spring. (heh, I’m all writerly today.)
Take away point
Change may require an initial “you’re doing this.” But once there is acceptance, it sort of unfolds on it’s own. All you have to do is follow it.
