Fact: If you stay up late, you WILL want a coffee in the worst way when you wake.
Since school vacation started, I’ve had a few late nights, but nothing too terrible (aka: you know, my natural rhythm ;). Last night, I was up a bit later tying up loose ends and dipping my toe into upcoming projects. Before I knew it, the clock had won and I was racing to bed. (At least, this time I wasn’t racing the sun.)
When I woke up today, it was clearly different from previous days. Not in the sense that I did or didn’t have a coffee. I did. But in the sense that I wanted a coffee. Now.
Today’s Self Care Stats:
- Knee: stretches and exercises
- Total shut down of ALL technology for a movie and popcorn with the family.
- Ball rolling (ouch then ahhhh)
- Followed up with mini yoga session and finally child’s pose
How I felt
Tired at the start of the day and then slowly moved on at a steady clip like always. At the end of the day, I found that I needed much down time with the family. School vacations can make things difficult while working from home, but somehow it all manages to get done.
Ball rolling proved to be tough. I hurt. My muscles are tight and they need release. I relaxed into them and then did a mini yoga session – totally following my body’s cues on what I needed to move/stretch most.
