I came across this book at the library today. A friend asked if we wanted to go and my first instinct was to say no. I’m behind on work, the kids just got home from school, there’s homework, dinner, showers, blah, blah, blah…. I’m glad we went.
At first look this title could feel negative. Like, “dream on, what are you thinking?” However, we can choose to look at it positively. “Dream on, we’ve got places to go!”
And that we do. Where would you like to go?
Today’s Self Care Stats:
- Knee exercises and stretches
- Enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate
- Took Sky for a walk in the whipping wind and rain.
- Mapped out the rest of my week, so I could catch up after having lost a few days.
How I felt
The knee exercises feel pretty mechanical. It’s not all swoon-y and romantic. They are stretches. I keep reminding myself that I need them and the romance comes when I can barrel down a soccer field again.
Take away point
There are times to say no. And there are times when you want to say no, but should say yes.
