Day 5 | 100 Days of Self Care

IMG_9211

More and more people are tired of the fast-paced, frenzied “information age” and are interested in higher-quality lives–lives in which they have more time for themselves and their relationships, more energy to invest in their emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.—Cheryl Richardson

Today’s Self Care Stats:

Accomplished

  • 2 sun salutations where I focused on the weight distribution in my hands and keeping my studio assistant, Sky, off my mat. He wasn’t amused.
  • Danced in the kitchen and belted out old 90’s hip hop/rap songs while my husband cooked us a big breakfast.

How I felt

I feel I could’ve done something more in regards to self care. Today was a rest day for my knee exercises and walking. (My stretches and exercises are from this book*. If you have knee problems, I HIGHLY recommend it.)

Take away point

Not every day will look the same or turn out as expected. And not every day has to feel like I’ve moved a mountain to accept my progress. I’m applying the principles of The Slight Edge* here. More on that book later.

*This is an affiliate link, but trust me, I wouldn’t recommend this book if it hasn’t helped.
