Greetings from the art dungeon!
Ah, the calm ocean waves. I found myself in a dream. In the dream, I owned a studio/gallery just steps from the beach. It was small, quaint and relaxed. In fact it was among other small, quaint and relaxed shops. It was a freestanding building, where the interior walls were white. And color leapt from the paintings that hung on them. The woodwork was weathered and worn. Double doors were wide open to the ocean air… and shoes were not required.
Despite the relaxed atmosphere, there was a charge in the air. Visitors were chatty, excited even. They were happy. I was happy.
This is when my alarm would go off and I wake. I am definitely a dreamer. I use to say, “I dream in movies,” because they might as well have been a full feature film. I dream long and hard… and in color. When I was younger, I would try to alter how a dream was going once I remembered I was sleeping. I was successful a few times and that was pretty cool.
Dreams have been rare these days. Good sleep lends itself to good, lengthy dreams. I’m a night owl at heart… it’s so easy to fall back into old habits. I’m in the process of trying to get more zzzz’s, so I can lasso me some dreams.
Tell me your most vivid dream.
